Contributor program standards

Useful contributions begin with relevant experience and a business identity we can check. Paid participation and independent company research have different purposes.

Who we review

The launch panel is for roofing companies serving the Los Angeles metro. We review the actual contracting entity, applicable license status and scope, service area, relevant experience, and the ability to contribute useful homeowner guidance. A qualified team member can be the named contributor.

Review notes identify the public sources, check dates, and findings. Review patterns or documented public disciplinary findings may warrant follow-up. An unverified allegation is not treated as a proven finding. Material unresolved questions can delay approval or result in a decline.

What membership means

Expert Contributor identifies participation in HRB’s paid editorial program. It does not certify superior workmanship, grant a license, or buy a favorable rating, award, search position, or homeowner recommendation. Free profiles and applicable public license-check information remain available to nonmembers.

How we handle contributions

HRB keeps the original answers, edits suitable material for clarity, and attributes it accurately. We obtain contributor approval for materially rewritten attributed quotes. We do not invent a contributor’s experience, opinions, numbers, credentials, or customer stories. Sensitive customer information should not be submitted.

Paid-program disclosure appears near relevant contributions. Commercial outbound links are qualified appropriately. Editorial references remain identified. A sample layout is visibly labeled and kept separate from actual contractor records.

Capacity and inquiries

The proposed launch limit is five active founding contributors per trade and metro. An application is not a paid place. Checkout temporarily reserves capacity, and active membership requires confirmed payment. Initial inquiry assignment is managed by HRB using the coverage, requested company, trade, location, and service fit.

Homeowner choice comes first. Otherwise, a relevant single-expert request goes to that expert; a multiple-contributor piece routes by trade and rotates among eligible same-trade participants. General site requests are outside that promise. No inquiry volume is guaranteed.
