Contributor privacy notice

We use your application to review program fit and respond to you. Optional program-news consent is separate from the contact needed to handle an application.

Information we collect

The application collects your name, company, email, phone, trade, service area, and applicable license number. Website, experience notes, walkthrough requests, and program-news consent are optional. We retain the submission time, privacy acknowledgment, and nonpersonal campaign labels when provided.

How the information is used

Applications are stored in private WordPress administration and notifications are sent to hello@homereviewboard.com. Reviewers may consult relevant public records and retain source-based eligibility notes. Application records are not part of the public contractor directory and are not exposed through a public application API. Applying does not create a subscription.

Member access, interviews, and billing

Approved applicants use a private access code. A necessary secure access cookie keeps the member session available for up to eight hours. Codes expire and can be replaced. Interview answers are stored privately with their submission time so editors retain the original wording. Public company and contributor details are published only through editorial review.

When billing is activated, the configured payment processor handles payment details. HRB stores provider references and subscription status, not card numbers. Live membership billing is not currently enabled. No application data is sent to advertising platforms by this contributor feature.

Homeowner requests

Existing quote requests go to HRB for review. A request related to participating coverage records its source, trade, area, company choice, contact consent, and assignment history. Optional permission to share a request with one suitable contractor is collected separately. Without it, HRB follows up before sharing. Reassignment requires the homeowner’s knowledge and permission. Requests are not broadcast to an entire panel.

Retention and your choices

We review inactive, unpaid applications for deletion after twelve months. Billing records may require longer retention; active subscriptions and published attributed contributions need individual review. This notice supplements the site’s Privacy Policy. The operator’s legal details will be completed before live membership billing.
