Preferred Home Services

The company at a glance

Company overview

Preferred Home Services provides residential heating, cooling, plumbing and electrical work in the Charleston and Greenville areas. For this collection, its North Charleston operation fills the heating and cooling slot. The HVAC page describes central air conditioning, ductless mini-splits, heat pumps, repairs, installations and maintenance.

The official contact page lists 4214 Domino Avenue, Suite A, in North Charleston, plus a Mount Pleasant location. BBB matches the company name, North Charleston address and official domain. The current website publishes 843-405-3601 for Charleston; BBB uses a different main number. The separate Greenville service area is not presented as part of the Charleston market.

Compare the installation scope before accepting a quick schedule

Preferred advertises rapid service and installation offers. Before relying on a proposed date, ask whether the specific equipment is available and what must happen before installation can begin. The estimate should identify the equipment, removal work, controls and any required electrical or duct changes. Request the expected interruption to cooling and who handles follow-up adjustments.

For recurring maintenance, review the agreement’s tasks and visit schedule rather than assuming every repair is included. If the concern is uneven temperatures or a system that runs frequently, describe those symptoms and ask what diagnostic work will be performed. Keep financing, promotional discounts and appointment promises separate from the technical scope so competing proposals can be compared on the same basis.

Questions to ask

• Is the proposed equipment available, and what conditions affect the installation date?
• Which duct, control and electrical changes are included?
• What maintenance tasks and follow-up visits are covered by the agreement?
