McAfee Heating, Air Conditioning & Plumbing

The company at a glance

Company overview

McAfee Heating, Air Conditioning & Plumbing lists its main office in Kettering and identifies Dayton, Beavercreek, Centerville and other Miami Valley communities among its service areas. Its heating and cooling work includes furnace repair, maintenance and replacement, plus air-conditioning repairs, tune-ups and installation. Duct cleaning and indoor-air products are also part of its advertised menu.

The company website and BBB record agree on the Hempstead Station Drive address and main telephone number. BBB lists a business start in 1990, consistent with the date shown on McAfee’s site. The profile focuses on the HVAC operation; its additional plumbing services do not make it a second business in this collection.

Start with the reason the system is struggling

When a furnace or air conditioner is unreliable, the first useful deliverable is an explanation of the problem. Ask what was inspected, what was measured and which finding supports the proposed repair. If replacement is offered, request the repair option and its limitations alongside the new-equipment scope.

Keep comfort complaints specific. Note which rooms are affected, when the problem occurs and whether recent changes to the house preceded it. Ask whether the proposal addresses those conditions or only replaces the equipment. A separate indoor-air product should have its own stated purpose and price so you can decide on it independently.

Before approving work

• What diagnostic work and service-call charges apply before repairs are authorized?
• Which equipment, controls, disposal and related work are included?
• Who handles follow-up if the original comfort problem remains?

Confirm service at the property and compare written scopes using the same assumptions. Ask for any maintenance agreement as a separate document, including renewal terms and what each visit includes.
