2nd Wind Heating & Air Conditioning

The company at a glance

Company overview

2nd Wind Heating & Air Conditioning lists 6130 Shakespeare Road in Columbia. BBB matches the address and official domain. The current homepage uses 803-392-1513, while the heat-pump page and independent record display other numbers. This profile retains the homepage contact and documents the variation without assuming those numbers have the same routing.

The company provides residential heating and cooling repairs, installations and maintenance, alongside plumbing and generator work. Its heat-pump page specifically names Columbia, Irmo, Lexington and Lake Murray. The homepage describes showing customers video of a diagnosed problem and presenting priced options before approval. Homeowners can ask how that approach will apply to their service visit.

Use the diagnosis to compare repair and replacement

Before discussing equipment models, explain the rooms affected, the existing system and the conditions under which the problem occurs. Request the technician’s findings and any recorded evidence. A repair proposal should describe what it addresses and any remaining limitations; a replacement proposal should explain the assessment used to select capacity and equipment.

If comparing a heat pump with another option, ask which electrical, duct, control and removal work is included. Keep any projected operating costs tied to stated assumptions rather than treating marketing descriptions as a household savings estimate. Review the written coverage and maintenance terms for the proposed equipment. The website advertises same-day service, so confirm actual availability, diagnostic charges and the approval process for added work before the appointment.

Questions to ask

• What findings and recorded evidence support each option?
• Which equipment and installation changes are included?
• What coverage, maintenance terms and visit charges apply?
