Company overview
HC Remodel & Design describes a design-build practice serving Omaha and Council Bluffs. Kitchens, bathrooms, basements and whole-home projects form its published remodeling scope. The current website gives 21 North 8th Street in Council Bluffs and 402-403-2378.
BBB matches the business name, phone and domain but still lists 11811 I Street in Omaha. The record identifies The Haldeman Corporation, Inc. as an alternate name. This profile uses the current company-published base in Iowa, within the two-state metropolitan collection, and records the older-location discrepancy. Confirm the meeting location before visiting.
Understand what the design agreement buys
HC's process page describes an initial conversation, a home visit and a design agreement covering design and estimating. It then describes drawings and renderings, pricing with trade partners, selections and construction. Ask which deliverables and fees belong to the design phase and what decision starts the construction commitment.
Clarify when product selections become firm, which allowances remain and how changes after design approval affect the price. The company's process also includes progress updates through a project-management app. Ask what information will appear there, who answers questions and how written approvals are recorded. A final walkthrough should produce a clear list of any remaining work and its completion dates. Those specifics help a homeowner evaluate the published process without treating a rendering, preliminary range or general statement about pricing as the final contract.
Questions to ask
- What drawings, estimates and usage rights are included in the design agreement?
- When are selections fixed and the construction price approved?
- How will progress, changes and remaining work be documented?
