Rytec Electric
Lexington, SC
The company at a glance
Company overview
Rytec Electric lists its headquarters at 244 Two Notch Road in Lexington and serves Columbia, West Columbia, Irmo, Chapin, Gilbert and Blythewood. BBB matches the address and domain. The current official Columbia contact is 803-721-3734, differing from the independent record’s primary phone.
The company offers repairs, panels, lighting, wiring, generators and EV charging for homes. Its EV page describes assessing electrical capacity, selecting a location and wiring route, coordinating required permits, installing equipment and testing it with the customer. Rytec also works with production builders and has a separate North Carolina operation; this profile concerns the Columbia-area residential service offering.
Connect the charging proposal to the vehicle and parking space
Provide the vehicle and charger specifications and explain where the car will normally park. Ask what assessment supports the proposed circuit and whether any panel or service changes are necessary. Request a written distinction between the charging equipment, the installation work and any optional upgrades. General charging-speed statements should not replace expectations for the actual vehicle and equipment.
Clarify how the wiring will be routed and whether trenching, wall access or finish restoration is included. If the property has shared parking or an association, identify who obtains the necessary property approvals. Ask what tests will be performed and what operating instructions will be provided at handover. Confirm the warranty scope and who handles support if the charger works electrically but its software or network connection does not.
Questions to ask
