ServiceTitan reported September 8 that revenue for its fiscal second quarter rose 21% to $292.8 million, while gross transaction volume reached $26.8 billion, up 17%. The quarter ended July 31, 2026. In the ServiceTitan announcement, the contractor-software company also described continued expansion of its AI-related products.
The company said it expected more than 700 enrolled Max locations by fiscal year-end. That is a company projection, not a completed count or an independent measure of customer benefit. The results cover ServiceTitan’s business and platform activity; they do not establish the performance of every contractor using its software.
An automated message still needs a clear meaning
For homeowners, the practical issue is how a service business communicates. A fast reply can be useful, but a customer should be able to tell whether it confirms an appointment, acknowledges an inquiry or provides information that still needs staff review. Those are different stages of the service process.
When a message includes pricing, ask whether it is a general range, a diagnostic fee or an approved estimate for the described work. Keep the final written scope and any authorized changes together. The communication channel does not remove the need for a clear record of what the customer has agreed to buy.
Do not infer that a particular contractor uses ServiceTitan or any named AI product merely because it sends automated messages. This report does not establish a software relationship for the companies profiled by Home Review Board.
Evaluate the workflow, not just the feature claim
For home-service businesses, the announcement is a reason to examine where software assists staff and where human review remains necessary. Test whether a customer can correct an address, clarify a symptom and reach the person responsible for a scope or billing question.
A useful internal review compares the original inquiry, the appointment record and the completed job documentation. If information changes between them, the business should know where and why. Company-level revenue growth does not demonstrate that an individual workflow is accurate.
The next step for a homeowner is simple: ask what a message confirms and who can resolve an error. For a contractor evaluating software, ask for a demonstration using realistic service scenarios and clearly defined success criteria. ServiceTitan’s new results describe a growing platform business; customer outcomes still depend on how the tools are used.
