The Buckingham Group
Tulsa, OK
The company at a glance
Company overview
The Buckingham Group describes a design-build remodeling practice serving Tulsa and nearby communities, including Bixby, Jenks, Broken Arrow, Owasso, Sand Springs and Sapulpa. Its published work includes kitchens, bathrooms, additions, whole-home remodeling, outdoor living areas and aging-in-place design. The site explains a process that moves from consultation and design through selections and construction.
BBB identifies a Tulsa remodeler with the same name and 918-624-2666 phone number at 4727 South Memorial Drive. The company and BBB both place its origin in 1981. This is the Oklahoma business, distinct from similarly named organizations elsewhere. Its claims about luxury positioning and exclusive warranties remain company statements rather than editorial judgments.
Read the boundaries of the fixed-price scope
The company's process emphasizes specifications and a fixed-price contract. Ask which drawings, selections and existing-condition assumptions must be settled before that price is offered. Compare the written exclusions as carefully as the headline total, particularly where an addition or whole-house project involves work concealed behind existing finishes.
A fixed price still needs a clear procedure for owner-requested changes and unexpected conditions. Establish who authorizes changes, how schedule effects are communicated and which documents control when a drawing and product list disagree. The website contains different workmanship-warranty durations on two about pages. Ask for the current job-specific warranty and its coverage rather than relying on either general description. Clarifying those terms before construction gives the homeowner a more useful basis for comparing design-build proposals.
Questions to ask
- Which selections and existing-condition assumptions support the fixed price?
- How are changes in scope and schedule priced and approved?
- Which current written workmanship warranty will apply to this contract?
