McGuire Electric
Clawson, Michigan
The company at a glance
Company overview
McGuire Electric lists a West 14 Mile Road address in Clawson and coverage across Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties. Its website emphasizes older homes and describes work ranging from breaker boxes and lighting to kitchen, bathroom, and garage wiring. The service list also includes appliance connections, surge protection, fault repairs, and correction of electrical issues. The business offers written estimates or hourly rates. For a homeowner updating an older house, the immediate question is how the proposed work fits the wiring that will remain in place.
Define the boundary of a partial rewiring job
Ask the electrician to identify which rooms and circuits are included, how existing wiring will be assessed, and where access is needed. Clarify whether surface repairs are part of the quote. When some wiring remains, request a practical explanation of that decision and the documentation provided at completion. Agree on how unexpected findings will change the scope.
Questions for the first conversation
- Which circuits and rooms are included in the proposed work?
- What wall or ceiling access and restoration are required?
- How will additional findings be priced and approved?
