Company overview
Dave Fox Design-Build Remodelers describes an employee-owned Columbus practice with design, material selection, and construction services. Its published projects include kitchens, bathrooms, room additions, basements, and whole-house renovations. The company lists coverage in Columbus, Dublin, Powell, Upper Arlington, Worthington, New Albany, Westerville, and other nearby communities. Its West Dublin-Granville Road office and phone match the independent record. Homeowners can use the firm's published design process to ask when conceptual decisions become detailed selections and a construction agreement.
Understand what the design fee buys
Before beginning design, request the deliverables, revision process, and budget assumptions in writing. Ask which selections are made before the construction agreement and which remain allowances. Clarify how estimates change as the plans develop. A useful milestone is the point at which layout, materials, and scope are detailed enough for everyone to understand the same project.
Questions for the first conversation
- What deliverables and revisions are included in the design fee?
- Which selections remain open when construction is priced?
- How are evolving estimates communicated during design?
