The company at a glance
Company overview
Acadian House Design + Renovation lists 6971 Exchequer Drive in Baton Rouge and 225-756-2777. Its website describes kitchen, bathroom, laundry, mudroom and full-home work, with design and construction service in Greater Baton Rouge and Ascension Parish. A separate Northshore offering is limited to design and products rather than the same construction coverage.
GuildQuality lists the matching address and phone under the earlier Acadian House Kitchen & Bath name. The current website retains contact information using the earlier ahkbs domain, supporting the connection between names. The published process moves through design, selections and pricing before construction. The design page explains that products are supplied within a project package, rather than sold individually.
Settle purchasing responsibilities during design
Acadian House states that it does not supply appliances and works with appliance specialists. Ask who will select, purchase, receive and inspect each appliance, and when its final dimensions must reach the design team. Clarify who coordinates installation and what happens if delivery or a product change affects the cabinetry or other work.
Request a list of design deliverables and explain which decisions are already made. Before signing for construction, review allowances and unresolved selections alongside the proposed schedule. Ask how pricing changes are approved and when ordered materials become nonreturnable. For occupied homes, establish access, protection and temporary arrangements for the rooms being renovated so those practical needs are included in the project plan.
Questions to ask
- Who purchases appliances and coordinates their dimensions and delivery?
- Which drawings, selections and allowances are included in the proposal?
- How are pricing changes and occupied-home arrangements handled?
