Our initial collection covers the 50 largest U.S. metropolitan statistical areas by July 2025 population, using the Census Bureau’s Vintage 2025 estimates. Metropolitan areas include neighboring cities and suburbs; they are not limited to city boundaries. The scope covers the 50 states and Washington, D.C.

Each market has one feature in heating and cooling, roofing, remodeling, plumbing, and electrical. We match company materials with independent business records and identify the sources and review dates. Some businesses are regional operators or local branches. Published service areas vary by company.

Selection considers an identifiable local operation or stated local coverage and a favorable independent business record or separately identified industry recognition. Inclusion is editorial coverage, not a ranking or a guarantee of workmanship. A BBB letter grade is a business rating, not a customer-review score. Check the profile’s notes and current credentials for your project.
