Home Review Board operates this website as an independent private publication. This policy describes the information used for website operation, company evaluations, and inquiries.
Information you provide
Our evaluation form asks for a company name, website, contact name, work email, primary service, and market. A phone number and additional company details are optional. Our contact form collects your name, email, selected topic, and message. Please do not submit passwords, payment details, or sensitive personal information.
How we use it
We use submitted information to review inquiries, consider companies for coverage, request clarification, discuss relevant services, correct records, and operate the publication. Submitting an application does not publish its contents automatically or create a contractor account.
Company information intended for a public profile may be published as part of that profile. Private application contact details are not automatically displayed on public company pages.
Website operation
Hosting and site services may process technical information such as IP addresses, request times, browser information, and server logs. The intake uses a short-lived, hashed identifier derived from the requesting IP address to limit repeated submissions. It does not place that identifier in public profiles.
WordPress uses cookies for signed-in administrative sessions and related site functions. The Home Review Board theme does not add behavioral advertising pixels or third-party analytics scripts. If optional analytics or advertising tools are introduced, this policy and any appropriate controls should be updated.
Service providers and disclosures
We use service providers for hosting, website operation, and email delivery. They may process information needed to provide those services. We may also disclose information when required by applicable law or reasonably necessary to protect the website, our rights, or others.
We do not sell the private contact information submitted through the initial evaluation and contact forms. A future consumer lead service would require its own clear disclosure and appropriate choices.
Retention and security
We keep inquiry and application information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, ongoing correspondence, recordkeeping, and applicable obligations. Access to the application inbox is limited to authorized site administrators. No website or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and requests
You can ask to access, correct, or delete information you submitted, subject to applicable requirements and legitimate retention needs. Use the contact form and select “Privacy request.” We may need to confirm your identity before responding. Do not include sensitive identity documents in your initial message.
External websites
Links to contractor websites, licensing resources, and other publications lead to services with their own privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.
Children and updates
This website is intended for adults researching home services and business representatives. It is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us. We may update this policy as the site changes; the effective date above identifies this version.
